Pregnancy
Yesterday, I received an email from a friend of mine who told me that she is pregnant for 4.5 months now. Well I am happy for her for finally getting pregnant after married since 1st April'10.
Then I emailed to her, sharing with her all the things I had learn from some of the pastors and Christian leaders concerning how to teach your children to keep God's law. I believe it started from pregnancy time. Mind you, I am not married and I am not attached to anyone at the moment. Therefore whatever things I share here are practically what I hear from speakers and Christian leaders. Some I learn it from Christian books I had read.
If you want your child to become a strong believer of Christ, I guess it started from your pregnancy. I guess we all know that whatever your child would become in future, perhaps his liking and interest are all comes from his time in your womb. Whatever things you feed yourself during those nine months time determine what your child would be in future. I came to learn that, if you play orchestra music to your baby in womb, chances are your child would become a musician. I mean I do not know whether is it true or not, but it does makes sense.
So what I am suggesting for your child to become a strong man of God, first of all, within that nine month of your pregnancy, indulge yourself with Christian songs. Don't be surprised when he grew up he would instantly know of the songs even though he does not know what he is singing. I mean for the nine of your pregnancy put on those songs so that your baby would be able to feel it too. In fact, if possible, worship the Lord with him while he is still in your womb. Let him know how much you love him by saying a lot of good and encouraging word while he is still in the womb. Words like, "mommy and daddy loves you" or "you are mommy and daddy's gem". That is to give your baby a spiritual security comfort that shows that you loves him. Never say negative words that might hurt them. Remember, even while they are still in your womb, they do hear and have emotion though they may not know what is it yet. Then pray with him in your womb. In fact, please include his name (if you have decided the name you want to give him) when you pray. Then I felt that when you read the Bible, read it loudly so that he can hear it. I wouldn't be surprised if after he was born, he would have heard of those verses before even before he starts reading the Bible.
I believe all those and much more seeds of believing in Christ would be planted in your baby's heart while your baby is still an infant. I believe all those seeds are there to help your baby to grow into becoming a strong believer of Christ as they grow up. So while your child is still an infant, do involve them in everything that you do. I mean praying, worshipping, reading the Bible and even playing Christian worship songs. Let me repeat this again. All those mentioned above does not come from me but I learn it from Christian speakers, pastors and even Christian books. Do try this when you are pregnant. You would be surprised by what it does to your baby as they grew older. After all anything that you do right in God's name does not give you or the baby any harm. Rather it shall bless your children. If you are not sure. please go and find some good Christian books about pregnancy. It would help you very much because involving God even in your pregnancy is a blessing to your baby.
