3 nights before Christmas
It has been a very tiring month this month. Throughout the entire month of December, I had been packed with lotsa things to do. Life has never been that busy until this month. All my colleagues had left the company and now I am officially the only thorn among the roses. You may say: "Wow!! That's great.. You got all the chicks you want. How uncool can that be?" Perhaps for everyone it may be like heaven.. But hey.. all the chicks in my department are either too old for me, or too demanding for me or too fierce for me.. For one thing lah.. Life is tough in my company.
Anyway what I am intending to blog is not bout my working life but rather Christmas Carol which I attended last night. It was held by a church called The Life Chapel in Section 17, PJ. I had alway yearned to go for Christmas Carol but unable to do so until quite a recent years. The reason is because of security problems and was always forbade by family. Anyway I learn quite a few lessons here in this carolling session. There were bout 14 carollers attended the carol and most of them comprises of teenagers, with a few young adults and the church full time worker. We went to three houses.
The 1st house I went was a family serves turkey. And oh my.. I never ate a turkey before.. I thought it was a roast duck or a chicken because it taste like chicken. Anyway that was my 1st time eating a turkey. The 2nd house we went was a young adult house & they were having a young adult party. I do not know how many of them are Christians but one thing I guess I found out was that when we arrived they put their party on hold and sang Christmas Carol with us. And the full time worker actually prayed this prayer to them that Lord Jesus Christ had came to their life when they allowed us to sing the carols with them. You know, that was what struck me. A lot of time we need to make a big scale of event to get ppl to come to salvation. But do you know that with small scale that comes deep down from your heart, anything can make ppl to come to know God. For example, Christmas carol. For me, it is a big event, enough to attract ppl to come to know our Lord Jesus Christ. I mean we are singing Christmas Carols. And this carols are not about ourselves. Perhaps we think we have a wonderful bass voice, or alto or even soprano and tenor. But ultimately it would still goes back to God. To our Lord Jesus Christ. Do you know we actually sang O Holy Night quite a few times. And it is not just first stanza only. But rather the whole song. Imagine how our throat felt. But hey come to think about it. We are still glorifying God. We might saved the world from sin and hell.. But hey we are being used by God to save the little one that we have. I mean our friends, our family. We are still being used by God to save souls. =) And they young adults who came for the party actually sang the carols together with us pay all their attention to us. Imagine... They are also singing of God's love to us all.
The 3rd and the last house we went was another family house. Everybody left the house when we arrive there. We were late so the only few ppl who were there were all the aunties and the uncles. Well some of them also do not know the songs we sang. But guess what? They sang with us. And in that sense they also sing of God's glory although they do not know Him. It is just a matter of time that they will come to know our Lord Jesus Christ. Actually my whole to go there is to makan and to sing carols. But little did I knew it brought back the meaning of Christmas into my life again. Praise God for it. So ppl if you ever were given a chance to go for Christmas carol please go with expectations. Go and be blessed by God Almighty Himself..
I would like to also take this opportunity to wish everybody Merry / Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.. =) God bless...
