Good Friday 2015
Today is 2015's Good Friday. It is a day to commemorate the death of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. It is also today 2000 years ago that our beloved Lord Jesus Christ defeated death (Satan) and gave hope to the world.
It was stated in the Bible in the book of John (New Testimony) Chapter 3 and verse 16 that said:
"16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Jesus came into this world to die for us. He was God in full form, came down to earth 2000 years ago, as half God and half man. As one quarter of Trinity, He volunteered Himself to come down to earth, sacrificed Himself to save us from sins. When we were born, we were born of sins. Sins are part and parcel of our life. We are not perfect. A lot of time, we cannot control our sins. Sometimes, we enjoy it a lot. Sometimes, we hate it. A lot of time we hate who we are.
Well guess what? Good news came to us 2000 years ago through the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. His birth is very important but nothing is more important than His death and His resurrection back to heaven from death. His death brought us hope. Whoever believe in Him shall have an eternal life. He shall make all things right according to His will. This is the eternal hope we are looking for. The chaotic life on earth leads us nowhere but to believe in Him. As a human, we cannot do much by ourselves but in Him, we can even conquer the world, if ever we believe in Him. In this world, only Christianity teaches us that we do not need to work hard to achieve our life. We can have a better life by just believing in Him. Of course, life is not as simple as bed of roses. We still need to go through pain and suffering to live up our life. But despite of that we can still believe that He is always in our midst. He is always there to watch over us and to protect us. Our walk with Jesus is not just do, do, do and do. He teaches us to love others as we love ourselves. In Matthew 22:39, it said:
39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[a] 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
So let us do likewise. To show and tell the other that Jesus is alive and well. Remember, our hope is always in Jesus. Do not let go of that hope and in all circumstances, He is our pillar of life. Anyway if anyone of my reader who are reading this are convicted to believe in Jesus, please says the following prayer.
Lord Jesus, I come before You and confess that I am a sinner. Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross, and that Almighty God raised You from the dead. I pray that You forgive me of my sin, and be my Lord and Savior. In the name of Christ Jesus I pray this prayer. Amen.
Once you do that, congratulations. Praise the Lord for your salvation. You are now officially a Christian. You had welcomed Jesus into your life and make Him your Lord and Savior. So in anything and everything do pray to Him and ask Him to guide and help you. He is your Everything and He shall guide you through your life. The next thing you need to do is to attend a church nearby you. Get someone to bring you to a church, to nurture you walk in Him. You may still have questions about Him. Well take the opportunity to ask the church. Beside your growth with the Lord, it is also very important for you to grow with like-minded people like you and me which are other Christian brothers and sisters. Go to a church which can helps you to grow and help you to understand Jesus better.
Lastly but not least, wishing everyone a blessed Good Friday (today) and a blessed Easter Sunday. May we all continue to be strong in our Lord Jesus Christ. Let no one influence to be otherwise. In Him, we are everything but without we are nothing. God bless.
